Bhaisajyaguru (Medicine Buddha)
Bhaisajyaguru is known as the Medicine Buddha. He is also called the Healing Buddha. He wears a monk's robe and has his legs crossed. His left hand, resting on his lap in the meditation mudra, holds the medicine bowl, while the right hand, in the beneficence mudra, holds a branch of fruit.
The body is made of a copper casting, silvered and gilded, set with filigree and set synthetic gemstones in ruby red, emerald green, lapis lazuli blue. The face is set in gold.
