Green Tara is considered the spiritual consort of Amogasiddhi, the Dhyani Buddha. In the Lamaist tradition, Tara is incarnate in all good women.
She is also said to have a historical person in the Nepalese and Chinese princess who married the great king Srang-Tsan Gampo. She is credited with introducing Buddhism to Tibet and China.

Cast copper figurine, silver and gold plated, with inset face and body of carved crystal, set with fine filigree ornamentation and synthetic gemstones in coral and turquoise colors. The two flowers are carved from turquoise.
